Premier league legend Ian Wright feels that the inconsistent and poor displays of former Champions Manchester United this term are down to the methods of Jose Mourinho.
The Premier League giants are presently in second position on the log and despite having shown improvements since last season, head coach Jose Mourinho has been under fire for the team’s uninspiring performances.
The club were kicked out of the Champions League at the 16th round by Sevilla a week ago in a shock loss, before they went back to winning ways by securing their place in the FA Cup semi final with a victory over Brighton at home last Saturday.
Despite the clubs improvement in their League form, the former Chelsea coach has been criticised for failing to bring out the best in the players at his disposal at Old Trafford.
And former Arsenal star Wright feels that there is no other person to place the blame on but the Portuguese who was appointed manager of the club in 2016.
Ian Wright told BBC Radio 5 live that you watch the way Manchester United play, and the last time a team tutored by Jose Mourinho played when you felt it was actually amazing was his second spell with Chelsea FC until halfway through the season.
The club will slug square up against North London club Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi final as they look to win the coveted trophy this term.
The Red Devils finished sixth on the English Premier League log last campaign but also won the Europa League and League Cup trophy in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.
